Project Overview

Hotel L’Embitu stands at the heart of Tallinn, just steps away from the Opera House and the Old Town, nestled among major business centres. The hotel comprises 125 rooms, an elegant Roof restaurant, a comprehensive conference complex, a sophisticated lobby, a wine room, and a serene spa.

The mission was to design a superior-class hotel that caters to the discerning tastes of business clients and high-level travellers. This complex and captivating project involved the integration and renovation of a historic late 19th-century building and a 1970s office building, along with partial demolition and new construction, all merged into a unified modern complex.

Spa Design

The goal for the spa was to create an additional attraction for guests, offering a place of relaxation and tranquillity that complements the superior 4-star rating of the hotel. Despite the limited space, the design team aimed to deliver a functional and elegant spa that exudes homely comfort.

Design Features

  • Unified Color Palette: The spa uses a monochromatic palette in warm tones with soft, muted lighting to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Thoughtful Layout: The alternating arrangement of saunas and pools, including a swimming pool, a hot pool, a cold plunge pool, a Finnish sauna, and an aura sauna, ensures a seamless and luxurious spa experience.
  • Atmospheric Elements: Light, flowing curtains on the panoramic windows overlooking the garden, and a cozy relaxation area by the fireplace, contribute to the spa’s serene and Mediterranean resort-like ambiance.

Guest Experience

The spa at Hotel Lembitu has been highly praised by guests for its blend of functional elegance and comforting luxury. The careful combination of design elements and amenities has made it a favorite retreat, reminiscent of a Mediterranean resort.
